Morning farewell to Baidi Town up in brilliant clouds，
Reaching Jiangling by night via water miles thousands.
With howling apes constantly in action along both banks,
Dash my little boat to pass mountains in ten thousands.

Reaching downstream Jiangling by night in thousands of li.
While howling apes along banks constantly in action,
I dash to pass ten thousand mountains in a little dinghy.

Blooming rosy "Kiss Me O'er The Garden Gate",
Leaves of yellowing reeds in wild shape,
Beginning dew's crystalline pure.
In vast void sky clear,
Faint clouds River Chu mirrors.
Let others ridicule such a life
unstructured,
To rootless-floating lemna compared.
After drink rest in drunk as should be,
Earthly matters heart-wrenching,
Who cares to listen 'n let them be.
Receding wind calming down river,
Noon sun peaking at wakening,
Wine-filled head on pillow starts to clear.
译者注：红蓼花在英文中俗称“Kiss Me O'er The Garden Gate”，此处未用学名便于凑韵。译文在不损害原文语意的基础上尽可能依照原文韵格，以female rhyme居多，有些段落韵格与原文稍异，自觉不满意，要做到语意和韵格两全通常耗时费力，只好以后有时间再改进～～。
